Honor Code
This project represents our own work.
We can use any resources from 380 (e.g., anything in Canvas, anything in GitHub) or that we find online (e.g., DataCamp, tutorials, Stack Exchange) to help us write our code or understand the data (e.g., Census Bureau website, tidycensus website). We do not need to cite or mention anywhere any files posted in Canvas (e.g., lecture notes, textbook) or anything from DataCamp. But if we use another website or source, we will include the URL in our file in a way that makes it clear how it was useful. For example, if we use a website to figure out how to do something specific in the code, we can paste the URL to the website as a comment in the code near that part of the code (possibly with a brief comment explaining how it was useful specifically).
We can talk to Prof. Lhost, tutors, and/or other students (in or not in the class), but need to acknowledge any help we received here:
“We did not receive any help on this project”
All work beyond the help we just acknowledged is our own. If we use chatGPT or other AI, we have documented this in the Appendix (following the instructions in the Read Me). All sentences that appear in our output are written in our own words, with the exception of short, commonly-used phrases (e.g., median family income), possibly in places with the help of AI (again, as documented in the appendix and folloiwng the rules in the Read Me). We understand that if portions of our work are identical to the work of others (whether online or another student/group), it will be investigated as plagiarism and potentially be brought to the Honor Council.
If we have any questions about what might constitute plagiarism or other violations of the Honor Code, we will ask Prof. Lhost before submitting our project.
We understand that violation of these terms is a violation of the Honor Code and that our work will not be accepted without our reaffirmation of the LU Honor Code here:
